Course Description:

British Literature and American Literature is a bilingual course in liberal education for non-English majors. This course is a comprehensive literature course combining a selection of readings from British and American Literature. The aim of the course is to equip students with the ability to adopt different literary theories when analyzing writers and works in British and American Literature. Through studying this course, students will improve upon their reading comprehension, deepen their appreciation of literature and further develop humanistic ideals. A systematic knowledge of literary works will also be gained as well as a profounder understanding of tolerance to cultural differences.
